Its been years since I played holi, but this time around, most of my office buddies are in town and hence we all decided to play holi come Monday morning. It would be a nice break from the office. Its been 3 weeks without a weekend, and from the looks of it, March is gonna be hectic as hell too. I am really looking forward for the 2 days that I have at my disposal (I gatta work tomorrow :(..so just sunday and monday). Anyways today was kinda like a holiday. Up till lunch everyone was like their usual self...busy with work...however after lunch, when Sumit was to leave for Jodhpur, we decided to play a li'l holi outside our campus with the extra gulaal that he had. Although it started as a nice, peaceful, friendly affair..it soon became a riot with us trying to douse everyone who came outside the campus. It was sooo much fun. We played for like an hour or so and headed back. Our HR had warned that ppl should not play holi and make the office a mess. We felt like rebels, breaking the rules and doing it anyway (god knows what punishment awaits us). It was sooo punk rock! Back at the office, no one felt like working anymore and we all headed to Superstars to celebrate holi...formally (over 18 bottles of RC). It was 4-4:30 pm..which meant loads of time at hour hands. It was a good "productive" 5 hours well spent while catching up on the highlights of Sachin's double century. We finished by 10 and strolled around a bit before heading to our respective homes. I am really looking forward for Monday. Hopefully there would be bhaang this time around too! Happy holi!
