Cold wave

Delhi winters had let me down for the past few years..the chill was restricted only to a few days in January as compared to almost a month 5-6 years back. However, it shut me up pretty nicely this year. Its been almost 4 full days without any sunshine. The fog is dense enough to make you nervous while driving. The other day, Wednesday, I think, I was coming back at night with zero visibility. I could just see the white road stripes till a few meters away from the wheel. Left and right were completely engulfed with thick "grey" smoke. It was like a nightmare sequence in a video game. I was driving with the windows down and my head sticking out to try and figure out the way. In the process, I missed a turn...drove into every pothole on the road and almost hit a divider...come to think of it..it was fun and it did give me a rush.
Getting up from the warm cozy bed in the morning is soo difficult...and taking a bath is almost impossible!!! One can barely tell the difference between 12 pm and 5 pm. Its very strange..like an impending doom! The birds are going berserk. They are flying like bats. Its a haunting kinda feeling..dark and gloomy. Pretty cool to go for a walk though..the chill would raise your heartbeat for sure...make you feel alive!
