Things am looking forward to

I'll be back in India next saturday...and after being away for 6 whole months ...am pretty excited to be back. Some of the things that I am really looking forward to are:

1. Daaru party with my folks 

2. Yummy food

3. Playing on my Xbox 360

Gears of War II and Street Fighter IV .. my next purchases.

4. Awesome rock shows

5. Beer @ Superstars
with Nacho Grande ..yum

6. My guitar

7. TV

Yup..TV is Sienfeld. 

Loads of other stuff as well.. but these are all that comes to my mind right now.

Bleach

A funny name for an anime .. but its kickass! I stumbled on it on youtube. I was soo happy that I found an English dubbed version. Anyways the story is about Ichigo Kurosaki - a guy who can see spirits. Everything is normal till a "soul reaper" by the name of Rukia Kuchiki comes to his bedroom searching for a "hollow" or an evil spirit. She is surprised to see that Ichigo can see her. They strike up a conversation where she explains that there are 2 kinds of spirits...the good and the evil (aka "hollow"). Her duty is to kill the hollows and help the good spirits "pass on". The hollows are always on a quest to devour the good spirits. Anyways their conversation is broken by the presence of a hollow. In the battle that ensues, Rukia gets injured. The hollow captures Ichigo's sister. In order for Ichigo to fight the hollow, Rukia transfers his powers to Ichigo. But Ichigo kinda sucks in majority of her power. So now she is stuck on Earth until her powers come back. In the meantime she requests Ichigo to fight for her. So now Ichigo becomes the soul reaper and fights the hollows. Phew!..sounds really cool eh?

Impulsive me

It was a holiday yesterday but me and sumit were confined to the house..mainly cuz of laziness but more so because of the cold. Anyways we couldnt take it much longer and went for a stroll. We headed towards Yodobashi since there was this coupon with us for a very long time waiting to get encashed. It was a 10K Yen coupon but we split it two ways so 5 K each. We were wondering what to buy since it was too less to buy something fancy and too much to buy something...well..cheap. Thats when we stumbled on to the Toy Store! Damn..I went crazy..I bought 2 action figures for 5000 Yen! But it was totally worth it. I am a proud owner of a Ryu action figure which has movable joints for numerous poses..it also comes with a Hadoken!! I played with for 3 hours and made all different kinds of poses..phew!..I love it!

PS: The second action figure is also cool..its bigger but its more of a showpiece ..no movable joints..nevertheless..totally worth it!

The kind thief

True story..a friend of my friend was walking along the Noida expressway talking on his cell phone. A motorcycle whizzes past him and one of the guys on the bike snatches away his cellphone. Finally realizing the situation..he runs after them desperately shouting .. "Arrey bhai..sim toh lauta do" ("Atleast give me back the sim"). These guys actually slowed down..took out the sim from his phone and drove off after placing it on the road! .. what kind of a sh*t place are we living in??!!
